Pay Range: $25.00hr - $35.00hr
Job Overview:
- Under close supervision at an apprentice level, the candidate assists in performing basic service or repairs in a specialized skill area such as mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, welding, plumbing, carpentry, painting, or machine servicing. The successful candidate will support operations and maintenance efforts within the facility.
RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL:
- Under close supervision at an apprentice level, the candidate assists in performing basic service or repairs in a specialized skill area such as mechanical, electrical / electronic, hydraulics / pneumatics, millwright, welding, plumbing, carpentry, painting, locksmith or machine servicing.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES:
- Assist in performing basic O&M service or repair work in a specialized skill area such as mechanical, electrical / electronic, hydraulics / pneumatics, millwright, welding, plumbing, carpentry, painting, locksmith or machine servicing.
- Selects and lays out required materials per work orders or verbal instructions.
- The candidate may be required to assist with requisitioning new supplies and equipment.
- Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures and adhere to company standards.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Painting and preparation of areas throughout the facility.
Requirements:
- Participation in a technical / apprenticeship program or equivalent and a minimum of two years hands-on maintenance experience.
- Requires basic knowledge of the fundamentals of a trade, sufficient to deal with basic service and repairs.
- Requires ability to work from drawings or verbal instructions.
- The candidate must be able to work varying shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.
- The candidate may be required to use a variety of hand and power tools or forklift.
- The candidate may be required to possess a valid driver's license.
- Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment.
Physical Requirements(Due to nature of job, The candidate must have):
- Ability to climb ladders.
- Ability to work in confined spaces.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs or more.
