Our client is a food manufacturer operating a production facility in Denison, Iowa.
The Role
The 2nd shift Maintenance Superintendent oversees and coordinates a team of Maintenance Supervisors to meet daily targets and exceed expectations, with accountability for efficiency, safety, compliance and team development on the shift.
What You Will Do
Drive operational efficiency and profitability by monitoring daily and weekly yields, efficiencies and profitability and taking corrective action as needed.
Manage staffing and maintenance schedules so customer needs are met and resources are optimized.
Develop and implement safety and ergonomic programs, train employees on safe work practices, identify hazards and work toward an injury-free workplace.
Uphold sanitation, product quality and customer service standards in compliance with USDA and company regulations, reinforced through regular line meetings.
Train supervisors and employees on company policies and procedures and drive continuous improvement in team performance and plant efficiency.
Provide strong, hands-on leadership on the production floor to keep teams motivated, aligned and focused on operational goals.
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university and 3+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience acting as a lead: training, coaching or mentoring less experienced staff, or managing a process or project
