THE POSITION

As a Maintenance Supervisor for the Bethlehem Housing Authority, you will be part of an agency dedicated to dependable housing and strong neighborhoods. This role allows you to lead skilled employees, strengthen maintenance practices, and make a lasting impact. You will help direct a program that keeps buildings safe, efficient, and well cared for. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position guides the planning and direction of a complex maintenance program that supports buildings, grounds, and essential heating and utility operations. The role ensures resources are used effectively and staff work is well coordinated. As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will perform the following duties:

  • Team Oversight: Manage and support 15 maintenance employees and 3 administrative staff in daily operations
  • Program Direction: Plan, organize, and direct building maintenance, heating systems, and utility operations
  • Resource Coordination: Allocate fiscal, material, and manpower resources for preventive, operational, and emergency maintenance
  • Operational Review: Monitor work through reports, inspections, and conferences with administrative leadership
  • Maintenance Leadership: Guide technical staff and ensure work standards are met across all maintenance areas

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch, On Call.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Six years of experience in the maintenance and repair or construction of buildings or facilities, including three years in a progressively responsible supervisory or administrative capacity.
  • College or technical school study with major emphasis on mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering or the engineering or construction technologies may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required non-supervisory experience.
