    Description

    The successful candidate will have excellent organizational and documentation skills, be self-directed, and be confident in their decision-making abilities.

    What you will do:

    • Manage maintenance supervisors and craftspeople
    • Responsible for execution of work (completion, quality, communication)
    • Assist supervisors in monitoring troubleshooting to identify and correct issues promptly
    • Manage and assist supervisor in follow-ups on breakdowns, PM quality performed, WO completion
    • Manage work order tracking by craftspeople
    • Work with department production superintendents to improve uptime
    • Mange work order completion with supervisors
    • Coordinate maintenance tech training
    • Meet production and uptime goals while making safety a business priority
    • Develop, implement, and maintain maintenance team schedules and detailed maintenance planning schedules that drive continuous improvement and support all elements of plant mechanical/electrical functions
    • Advance and support the training for maintenance and operational teams to continuously improve their knowledge and skills to maintain an optimal active focus
    • Strong leadership skills with a focus on team building and motivational skills along with an ability to collaborate and build good working relationships across multiple departments and leadership levels
    • Provide support to the General Manager, Production Superintendents, and Supervisors to ensure objectives in safety, quality, production, and cost are being met
    • Manage and develop relationships with the project equipment supplier(s) and contractors
    • Provide hands-on technical expertise on the mill floor to increase and maintain plant operations

    Qualifications you will need:

    • Minimum 5 years' experience in supervising maintenance in an industrial setting. 
    • Knowledge and experience in effective reliability programs are essential. 
    • Demonstrated leadership with change management skills as well as a drive for continuous improvement. 
    • Sound knowledge of Safe Work Procedures and OSHA regulations is a must. 
    • Must be a strategic thinker and tenacious problem-solver who applies data-based critical thinking to make decisions. 
    • Good computer skills with the use of Microsoft Office suite as well as effective oral, written, and communication skills

     Preferred Qualifications that will make you stand out:

    • A 2- or 4-year degree in a related field would be a plus
