Description
Maintenance Supervisor – 2nd & 3rd Shift
Location
Peru, IN 46970
Salary
$85,000 – $110,000 per year + bonus
Job Summary
- Lead maintenance operations across plant equipment, facilities, utilities, and powerhouse systems
- Ensure optimal equipment performance, minimize downtime, and support continuous production flow
- Oversee installation, repair, and preventive maintenance to maintain high operational efficiency
- Play a key leadership role in driving reliability, safety, and overall plant performance
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise Maintenance Mechanics and Electricians across assigned shifts
- Manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce equipment failures
- Coordinate maintenance schedules with Production to ensure minimal disruption
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement both immediate fixes and long-term solutions
- Develop and track KPIs such as equipment reliability, uptime, and maintenance performance
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, documentation, and inventory levels
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Provide regular performance updates and reports to leadership
- Support continuous improvement initiatives including TPM and standard operating procedures
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members to build a strong and engaged workforce
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2+ years of relevant maintenance or manufacturing experience
- Experience leading teams or mentoring employees in a technical environment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a manufacturing setting
- Solid communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Preferred Skills
- Experience with ammonia refrigeration, boilers, compressed air, and industrial systems
- Knowledge of PLCs, instrumentation, and electrical/mechanical systems
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems, TPM, and work order software
- Strong leadership skills including coaching, conflict resolution, and decision-making
- Bilingual abilities are a plus
