Supervisor, Skilled Trade Workers
Individual will supervise and coordinate activities of skilled trade workers engaged in maintaining and repairing equipment, structures, utility systems, buildings and grounds in a large fresh poultry complex. Specifically:
- Ensure that USDA, QA and plant management standards on quality, production, safety and ergonomics are met.
- Ensure that direct reports are properly trained to ensure proper operations, preventative maintenance and repairs procedures.
- Schedule, supervise and coordinate associates engaged in installing, servicing and repairing mechanical equipment.
- Maintain preventative maintenance programs and procedures.
- Responsible for controlling costs within the department and ensure maintenance budget responsibilities are met.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) plus 3-5 years of food plant maintenance experience is required. Additionally:
- Must exhibit strong knowledge of PLC's and electrical systems
- Must have working knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems
- Must be proficient in pipe fitting, plumbing, welding hydraulics, pneumatics and automatic equipment (setup & repair)
- Excellent mathematical and analytical ability.
- Poultry plant experience is a big plus.
