Job Description

• Assist with daily maintenance tasks, such as service requests and property make-ready. • Respond to maintenance related issues in a timely manner • Perform various maintenance functions including repairs to the following: electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC, grounds maintenance as dictated by state guidelines. • Perform general carpentry duties such as wallboard repair, countertop/cabinet replacement, finish carpentry, window/glass repair, door/lock repair, and ceramic tile repair. • Responsible for work order systems accuracy by verifying all orders are completed in a timely manner to company standards and the tenant's satisfaction. • Ensure maintenance requests are handled as quickly, efficiently and effectively as possible and always completed within 24 hours. Inform Property Manager and resident if work delayed due to needed parts. • Promptly communicate with the property manager concerning all maintenance issues at the property.

Requirements

EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: • High school diploma or equivalent is required. • At least five years of experience in the property management industry or directly related field. • General knowledge of all aspects of maintenance repair and service including plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, HVAC, general maintenance. • Previous renovation/rehab or minor construction experience. • Ability to read, write and understand English. • Ability to use general office equipment, such as telephone, computer, printer, copier, and etc. • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to others. • Strong organizational and time-management skills. • Ability to multi-task. • Ability to perform basic mathematical functions. • Ability to cope with and defuse situations involving angry or difficult people. • Ability to maintain confidentiality. • Must maintain professional appearance. • Must maintain a valid driver's license, clean
