The Maintenance Supervisor oversees building maintenance, repairs, and safety to ensure facilities are in excellent condition.
The role involves performing carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, masonry, and appliance repairs, as well as coordinating work with employees and outside contractors. Responsibilities include directing renovation projects, structural repairs, obtaining bids, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The supervisor manages work schedules, assists with budgeting, and participates in emergency response and preventative maintenance programs. Leadership duties encompass supervising staff, recruiting, training, performance appraisals, and resolving issues to foster a positive work environment.
Qualified candidates should be reliable, detail-oriented, self-motivated, organized, and capable of multi-tasking and problem-solving. Supervisory experience and relevant certifications, such as HVAC licensing and fair housing testing, are required. A valid driver’s license is also necessary.
