Position Summary:

Ensure all employees work in a safe and productive manner, manage employees and processes. Schedule site maintenance activities to assist in the development of the department, empower and coach staff to perform job to the best of their abilities.

Essential Duties &

Responsibilities:

Daily management of maintenance staff and activities

Coordinate maintenance work performed by outside contractors.

Understand, facilitate, and ensure safe practices are followed, including but not limited to: housekeeping, Work Permits, Lockout / Tag-out, Open Flame Permits, and Personal Protective equipment. Conduct daily/weekly safety meeting and encourage feedback.

Create a work environment with safety as a high priority

Ensure parts inventory warehouse is maintained and stocked parts are promptly reordered and available when needed.

Manage our maintenance vendor pool in such a way that is cost effective and 100% transparent.

Ensure department operates within both personnel and maintenance budgets.

Perform required safety, environmental, and housekeeping audits according to record-keeping guidelines.

Ensure required preventative and safety inspection are completed as required by various agencies.

Extensive knowledge in a variety of mechanical systems

Maintain accurate records of maintenance operations/activities

Attend management meetings as required and participate in developing solutions to identified problems.

Communicate department issues to higher level management as necessary.

Train employees on the safe, efficient performance of their jobs.

Coach employees on performance and/or attendance.

Monitor and track employee attendance issues, including absences and vacation requests.

Assist Engineering department as required on completion of projects.

Perform SAP transactions as necessary (Requisitions, receipts, etc.)

Maintain SAP work order system.

Education/Experience:

Training

Qualifications:

Previous experience in Maintenance Supervisory/Leadership role highly desired. Budget management skills also preferred.

Basic knowledge of electrical and instrumentation preferred. High School Diploma required. Microsoft Office with strong Word and Excel

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook (e-mail, calendar) is helpful. SAP Computer Data Processing preferred.
