Maintenance Supervisor

The Maintenance Supervisor leads a single team responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy equipment including hydraulic presses, lathes, and forging/heat treating furnaces. Reporting directly to the President, this role ensures a balanced focus between routine preventive maintenance and emergency repairs. The supervisor enforces safety standards, oversees equipment inspections, performs troubleshooting, provides staff training, and handles maintenance reporting with minimal travel and limited after-hours availability.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a single team of maintenance staff
• Schedule and coordinate preventive maintenance and emergency repairs
• Maintain and repair heavy equipment such as hydraulic presses, furnaces, and lathes
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
• Perform regular equipment inspections and troubleshoot malfunctions
• Conduct training sessions to enhance team skills
• Prepare and submit maintenance reports to senior management
• Respond to maintenance issues with limited on-call availability

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in maintenance supervision
• Knowledge of hydraulics and hydraulic systems repair
• Experience with heavy industrial machinery repair
• Electrical repair skills
• Building maintenance experience
• Familiarity with cranes, tugs, and forklift repair
