Maintenance Supervisor | Denison, IA | Avg $80K–$100K + Bonus

Role Overview

A high-volume food manufacturing facility is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead 2nd and 3rd shift maintenance operations within a fast-paced production environment.

This role is responsible for driving maintenance performance, minimizing equipment downtime, improving operational reliability, and leading maintenance teams across plant operations, utilities, and production equipment.

The ideal candidate has strong maintenance leadership experience within manufacturing environments and is comfortable managing preventive maintenance programs, troubleshooting equipment issues, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance Leadership

Lead maintenance teams including mechanics and electricians

Supervise daily maintenance operations across production and facility systems

Drive employee development, coaching, accountability, and engagement

Support shift operations while maintaining productivity and safety standards

Coordinate maintenance priorities with production leadership

Preventive Maintenance & Reliability

Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs

Troubleshoot equipment failures and implement long-term corrective solutions

Improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency

Develop and monitor KPIs including OEE, reliability, and maintenance performance

Maintain maintenance records, reporting systems, and inventory controls

Safety & Compliance

Train employees on safety procedures and maintenance practices

Ensure compliance with USDA regulations and workplace safety standards

Support continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives

Maintain clean, safe, and compliant work environments

Operations & Systems Support

Coordinate maintenance scheduling and plant support activities

Support utilities, production equipment, and facility systems

Assist with CMMS system usage and maintenance tracking

Collaborate with plant leadership on operational improvements and equipment upgrades

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field OR equivalent experience

Minimum 2 years of maintenance leadership or supervisory experience

Manufacturing maintenance experience required

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Experience leading teams in fast-paced environments

Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Strong communication and leadership abilities

Preferred Qualifications

Food manufacturing or meat processing experience

PLC troubleshooting experience

Ammonia refrigeration experience

TPM and CMMS systems experience

Strong change management background

Bilingual skills preferred

Continuous improvement mindset
