Maintenance Supervisor

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance, safety, security, and daily operations of our manufacturing facility. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the building, grounds, equipment, and support services are operating efficiently while leading the maintenance and custodial teams. The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, and experienced in managing facility operations in an industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day maintenance and operation of the facility and grounds.
• Lead and supervise maintenance and custodial personnel.
• Conduct daily facility inspections and proactively address repairs, leaks, lighting, and safety concerns.
• Coordinate and manage preventive maintenance programs for building systems and equipment.
• Develop and manage facility improvement projects, including budgeting, vendor coordination, and contractor oversight.
• Oversee HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, roofing, and building systems.
• Manage company fleet vehicles, forklifts, and powered industrial trucks, including preventive maintenance and repair scheduling.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance, custodial, and facility supplies.
• Coordinate building space utilization and facility modifications.
• Ensure landscaping, parking lots, and exterior grounds are well maintained.
• Maintain building security systems, key control, and facility access.
• Serve as the primary contact with utility companies, regulatory agencies, contractors, and service providers.
• Coordinate airport pickups, deliveries, and transportation of company materials as needed.
• Participate in daily leadership meetings to provide updates on facility operations and projects.
• Promote and maintain a safe work environment while ensuring compliance with OSHA and applicable environmental regulations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience managing facilities in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Supervisory experience leading maintenance and custodial teams.
• Strong knowledge of:
• HVAC systems
• Mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP) systems
• Air compressor systems
• Roofing and general building maintenance
• Landscaping and irrigation systems
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and industrial safety practices.
• Familiarity with EPA regulations related to facility operations.
• Experience reading blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience managing preventive maintenance programs.
• Forklift and Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) experience required.
• PIT Trainer certification preferred or ability to obtain certification.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, email, and smartphones.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Valid Missouri Class E Driver's License required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in Industrial Technology, HVAC, Building Systems, Facilities Management, or a related field.
• Experience managing facility budgets and capital improvement projects.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and work throughout the facility.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Comfortable working around industrial equipment and in manufacturing environments.
