Job Title
Maintenance Supervisor

Position Summary

Under general direction, the Facilities Operations Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of the
Facilities maintenance team to ensure campus buildings, infrastructure, and exterior spaces are safe,
reliable, well-maintained, and visually appealing. This position provides direct supervision, coaching,
and development of support staff while maintaining a strong focus on customer service, safety,
dependability, and campus aesthetics consistent with a small private university environment.
The Facilities Supervisor plays a key role in setting expectations, building staff capability through
training and mentorship, and ensuring work is completed to established quality, safety, and appearance
standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Oversees daily operations of the Facilities maintenance team, assigning and
prioritizing work orders to ensure timely and effective completion.
2. Ensures full operational coverage during standard business hours and coordinates
staffing to support after-hours needs, emergencies, and special events as required.
3. Monitors work progress, quality, and productivity; adjusts priorities and
resources to meet changing campus needs.
4.
Coordinates maintenance activities related to seasonal changes, weather
preparedness, and campus transitions such as student move-in/move-out
cycles.
5. Supports campus events and projects by coordinating labor, schedules, and
logistical needs.
6. Perform other related duties as assigned to support departmental and University
objectives.

Education, Certifications and/or Licenses

Must have a valid Texas driver's license.

• Ability to read and interpret work orders, instructions, drawings, and schedules.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Basic computer proficiency, including use of work order or maintenance management systems.
