Description
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Supervisor oversees the maintenance operations of our facilities. The ideal candidate will ensure that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively, while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Responsibilities:
Performs routine and preventative maintenance on all equipment as directed
Assists in a variety of maintenance activities including but not limited to: machine repair, installation of new equipment, building walkways, cleaning, painting, etc.
Correctly and promptly completes all maintenance documentation as required.
Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
Supervises and coordinates the activities of the maintenance team.
Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures.
Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
Manage maintenance budgets and track expenses.
Train and mentor maintenance staff to enhance their skills and performance.
Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely manner.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
Any other duties that the Company, in its sole discretion, may assign as needed.
Required Skills/Abilities
Proven experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or similar role.
Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures and safety regulations.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Proficient in using maintenance management software.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Education and Experience:
High School diploma / GED, required
Completed Associates Degree/ Bachelor Degree in manufacturing, engineering, electrical technology, or other related area, preferred
At least 5+ years’ experience in industrial setting performing machine maintenance.
5+ years of supervisory level experience.
Previous experience in maintenance in a plastics/textile manufacturer, preferred
Current OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification, a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Position requires constant written and oral communication, mental alertness, agility, manual dexterity, reasoning ability, Visual acuity (color, depth perception, and field of vision), seeing, hearing, and talking.
Position requires frequent lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds, standing, walking, utilizing stairs or ladders, driving an automatic forklift, climbing, squatting, stooping, twisting, bending, grabbing and grasping.
Position requires occasional lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds, overhead lifting up to 30 pounds, twisting, squatting, crawling, kneeling, reaching above the shoulder, typing/keyboarding, fine manipulation, and sitting.
May be required to work in hot or cold ambient conditions with long hours standing or walking on a concrete floor
