POSITION OVERVIEW
As a
Maintenance Supervisor Industrial Recycling, your roles and responsibilities will include:
- Plan, direct, and control Maintenance Department activities to maintain recycling plant equipment and facilities.
- Ensure quality preventive maintenance and repairs on state-of-the-art recycling equipment, including optical sorters, eddy currents, glass breakers, balers, fiber screens, and conveyors.
- Manage and administer the preventive maintenance program to minimize unscheduled downtime.
- Maintain operating equipment in safe and satisfactory working condition.
- Schedule repairs to minimize interference with plant operations.
- Consult with other departments regarding equipment modifications and replacement opportunities that can improve operations and reduce maintenance costs.
- Coordinate efficient maintenance of plant transportation equipment.
- Analyze equipment and maintenance costs and make recommendations to reduce operating costs.
- Develop maintenance department objectives and performance standards.
- Maintain adequate supplies of spare parts and maintenance materials.
- Provide leadership and maintenance training to MRF Maintenance Technicians.
- Ensure preventive inspections and corrective repairs meet or exceed company standards.
- Promote and maintain compliance with all applicable safety rules and protocols.
QUALIFICATIONS
Most importantly, you need to be a passionate
Maintenance Supervisor Industrial Recycling who enjoys their work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal
Maintenance Supervisor would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- 4+ years of relevant industrial maintenance experience.
- Strong industrial/plant maintenance experience.
- Strong industrial hydraulic experience.
- Hands-on experience maintaining industrial equipment.
- Leadership experience within a maintenance or industrial environment.
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs and corrective repairs.
- Ability to troubleshoot and maintain complex industrial equipment.
- Ability to lead and train maintenance technicians.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to work a 3rd shift schedule, Sunday through Friday, 10:00 PM 6:30 AM.
