This leadership role, based in Baltimore, MD, is integral to maintaining and optimizing our facility's equipment and infrastructure in a unionized setting. You will lead a team of skilled technicians, ensuring the seamless operation of machinery and facilities through strategic management of maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead a diverse team comprising technicians, electricians, and instrumentation experts, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and adherence to protocols.
- Architect comprehensive maintenance strategies, emphasizing timely schedule adherence and equipment reliability to reduce downtime and boost efficiency.
- Champion safety compliance, conducting thorough inspections and audits to preempt and rectify potential hazards, while cultivating a safety-first culture.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts in partnership with technical personnel, targeting process enhancements, operational efficiency, and cost reduction.
- Engage constructively with union representatives, navigating collective bargaining agreements and resolving workplace issues collaboratively.

Qualifications:

- At least 5 years of experience in a maintenance leadership role, ideally within a chemical or industrial environment.
- Experience working within unionized frameworks and familiarity with relevant agreements.
- Proven problem-solving abilities and a track record of sound decision-making.

Preferred Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or a related discipline is advantageous.
- Thorough understanding of safety regulations and maintenance best practices.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with the drive to inspire and empower teams.
- Skilled in formulating and executing maintenance plans, SOPs, and initiatives for continuous improvement.
