About the Role

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of technicians and managing all maintenance activities across the facility to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations. This includes preventive, predictive, corrective, and new equipment installations. The role emphasizes safety, quality, cost efficiency, and adherence to company policies while supporting a multi-shift, 24/7 operation.

What You'll Do
  • Lead, supervise, and develop maintenance technicians and ensure alignment with operational and performance goals
  • Plan, schedule, and oversee maintenance activities including preventive, predictive, corrective, and new installation work
  • Define maintenance policies, procedures, and acceptance criteria for all facility assets in coordination with Plant Management
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as OEEs, yields, equipment availability, cost, and production volume
  • Troubleshoot equipment and processes, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
  • Manage maintenance budgets, staffing, spare parts inventory, and contractor resources
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMPs, FDA regulations, and all internal procedures
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives in maintenance operations
  • Build alignment between operational goals and employee performance through training, development, and performance management
  • Monitor, report, and address labor and HR issues in collaboration with Plant Manager/Maintenance Manager
  • Analyze processes, equipment, and performance trends to identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions
  • Work in temperature-controlled environments ranging from -40°F to +100°F as required
What We're Looking For
  • College degree preferred (B.S. in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering)
  • Technical training in maintenance management systems, planning, or software
  • 5-10 years of maintenance experience in the food industry, with a minimum of 4 years in a supervisory role preferred
  • Strong technical background in processing IQF and frozen food products, including mechanical knowledge of processing, packaging, and warehouse equipment
  • Knowledge of FDA/USDA regulations, particularly frozen food regulations
  • Experience managing maintenance budgets
  • Strong technical skills in mechanical, electrical, and control systems maintenance
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Experience with maintenance IT systems (e.g., SAP CMMS, Maximo)
  • Ability to troubleshoot processes and equipment efficiently
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Working Conditions
  • Work in manufacturing environments with exposure to cold and hot temperatures
  • Multi-shift operations in a 24/7 production setting
