Purpose: This position exists to support the Maintenance department by directly supervising the ~ 30-person maintenance teams day-to-day tasks and delivering timely and professional repairs, providing exceptional communication to our internal customers. The Maintenance Supervisor will work with Group Leaders in maintenance to continuously improve our performance, skills, knowledge and operations with the goal of minimizing downtime and maximizing the lifespan of vital production and building system while maintaining adherence to company and OSHA safety standards.

Essential Functions:

  • Work closely with Group Leaders in Maintenance to:

  • Provide status updates, determine priorities and start/completion dates of work assigned to their teams

  • Ensure stock of critical spares is maintained and managed while maintaining strong vendor relationships

  • Perform daily morning stand up to communicate priorities, address challenges and share information

  • Work closely with Facilities Supervisor to assign staff to facilities work as needed

  • Work closely with the Maintenance Managers to:

  • Develop and implement Preventative Maintenance program to reduce and improve equipment downtime

  • Interview, hire, coach and develop new technicians and provide opportunities to enhance existing skills

  • Review data and analytic information to help justify Capital Expenses, equipment replacement or team needs

  • Work closely with Maintenance Coordinator to:

  • Utilize Fiix CMMS (in the Coordinators absence) to delegate tasks to the appropriate service team, plan for projects and PMs

  • Provide prompt and professional communication to our internal customers

  • Provide POs for non-standard items

  • Manages time in office and in the field assessing opportunities for maintenance operations improvements as well as technician performance and quality of work

  • Provide friendly, approachable and patient demeanor when challenges arise and be empathetic to our internal customer's needs.

Experience/ Knowledge:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, 3+ years in a maintenance supervisor (or similar) role
  • Prior maintenance experience required
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Office, especially Excel spreadsheets.
  • Ability to make reactive, real-time decisions based on information available
  • Ability to understand and maintain compliance with departmental budgets

  • Ability to use & familiarize with a variety of hand and power tools, cutting equipment, testing tools.

Work Requirements:

  • This position may require working in extremes in temperature & environment while performing moderately physical activity.
  • Requires ability to occasionally travel between field locations.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; use hands to fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must have the ability to meet and/or pass the minimum requirement on a mechanical test or have demonstrated mechanical aptitude through prior work experience.
  • Must be knowledgeable in the safe use of hand and small power tools.
  • Must pass color vision and color hue tests.
  • Must be able to maintain good attendance.
  • This position is a full-time position, which may require some flexibility in hours & days worked (including Saturdays, as needed).
