Overview

Position Summary: The Airport Facility Maintenance Supervisor at ABM is responsible for leading, coordinating, and supervising a team of maintenance technicians to ensure airport facilities are maintained in a safe, efficient, and customer-focused manner. This role oversees daily maintenance operations, ensures compliance with ABM standards and airport regulations, and serves as a primary point of contact for client communication and service delivery.

Pay: $30.00 per hour. 
The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

· Supervise, lead, and support a team of facility maintenance technicians in daily operations

· Assign work orders, schedule tasks, and prioritize maintenance activities to meet operational and client needs

· Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and performance feedback to team members

· Ensure technicians follow ABM policies, safety procedures, and airport security requirements

· Monitor productivity, workmanship quality, attendance, and compliance with established standards

· Participate in hiring, onboarding, and employee development initiatives

Facility Maintenance & Operations

· Oversee routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and corrective repairs of airport facilities

· Ensure proper maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and general building systems

· Respond to and coordinate emergency maintenance situations as required

· Conduct quality inspections to verify completed work meets ABM and client expectations

· Support facility upgrades, capital projects, and special assignments

Client Communication & Customer Service

· Serve as a primary point of contact for airport clients, tenants, airlines, and airport operations staff

· Communicate service expectations, maintenance schedules, and work status to clients in a professional manner

· Address and resolve client concerns, service issues, and escalations in a timely manner

· Ensure service delivery meets contractual obligations, service level agreements (SLAs), and ABM performance standards

· Represent ABM professionally in meetings, walkthroughs, and client interactions

Safety, Compliance & Reporting

· Ensure compliance with FAA, TSA, OSHA, airport authority regulations, and ABM safety policies

· Conduct safety meetings, toolbox talks, and job hazard assessments

· Maintain accurate documentation, work orders, reports, and incident records using ABM systems

· Identify maintenance trends, risks, and improvement opportunities and report to management

Other Duties as Assigned

· Perform additional duties, responsibilities, or special projects as assigned by ABM management to support operational needs and client requirements

· Provide coverage for team members during absences or peak operational periods

· Assist with audits, inspections, emergency response, and operational readiness activities as required

· Support cross-functional teams and collaborate with other ABM service lines when needed

· Adapt to changing operational priorities, schedules, and client needs in a fast-paced airport environment

Qualifications

Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade certification preferred

· Minimum of 3–5 years of facility or building maintenance experience, including supervisory or lead experience

· Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems

· Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, high-security environment

· Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

· Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, work orders, and safety procedures

· Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain airport security clearance and airfield access

Physical Requirements

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

· Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces

· Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions

· Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations

Preferred Qualifications

· Prior supervisory experience in an airport or large commercial facility

· Experience working in a union environment (if applicable)

· Familiarity with CMMS and reporting systems

· EPA Universal Certification or other trade-related licenses

Working Conditions

This position operates in a dynamic airport environment with exposure to noise, weather, and operational areas. Strict adherence to ABM safety standards, security protocols, and customer service expectations is required.
