If you're a hands-on leader with strong maintenance knowledge, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a passion for developing people, this is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our operation.CompensationCompetitive salary based on experience- $80,000-$95,000.In addition to competitive pay, Placon offers a comprehensive benefits package (Medical, dental, vision, EAP, HSA/FSA options, 401K, PTO, 10 paid holidays which includes a Birthday holiday, Life & Disability, Profit Sharing Plan), career development opportunities, and a supportive team environment.Work ScheduleFull-time, onsite role based in Plymouth, MNMonday-Friday-7:00 am to 3:00 pmOccasional local, regional, and national travel may be requiredWhy Placon – You'll Love It HereLead a skilled maintenance team in a growing manufacturing environmentPlay a key role in improving equipment reliability and reducing downtimeOpportunity to influence maintenance processes, safety initiatives, and operational performanceCollaborative culture that values teamwork and employee developmentCareer growth opportunities with a company committed to continuous improvementCompetitive compensation and comprehensive benefits packageWhat You'll DoLead and supervise Maintenance Technicians and other assigned maintenance personnelCoordinate and direct day-to-day maintenance activities across the Plymouth plantEnsure planned maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently, and on scheduleMonitor department KPIs, maintenance metrics, and work order performanceDrive equipment reliability and machine uptime through preventative and predictive maintenance strategiesPartner with operations and cross-functional teams to reduce downtime and improve production performanceDevelop, implement, and monitor OSHA/ANSI safety procedures and safe work practicesRecruit, train, coach, mentor, and evaluate maintenance team membersConduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring equipment failuresIdentify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance effectivenessServe as a technical resource and leader for maintenance staffManage multiple priorities while supporting operational goalsWhat You BringBachelor's degree in a technical field, engineering, maintenance management, or related discipline and 2+ years of leadership experience; OR8+ years of maintenance experience with at least 2 years of leadership experience and a proven record of progressive responsibilityStrong leadership, coaching, and employee development skillsPreferred SkillsExperience in manufacturing maintenance, equipment reliability, and preventive maintenance systemsKnowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic technologies utilized in manufacturing equipmentStrong troubleshooting and root cause analysis capabilitiesAbility to effectively prioritize work across multiple departments and competing demandsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentPhysical RequirementsAbility to move throughout manufacturing and production areasFrequently lift up to 10 lbs.Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environmentsDoes This Sound Like You?If you're a results-driven maintenance leader who enjoys building high-performing teams, improving equipment reliability, and driving operational excellence, we'd love to hear from you.
