Maintenance Supervisor

Advanced Personnel Resources is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor for a 3rd Shift opportunity with our client in Rockingham County. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing maintenance operations within a manufacturing environment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable production support. This position provides direct supervision to maintenance employees, supports hiring and training activities, and helps maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment.

Job Duties

• Supervise daily maintenance operations and support production activities from a maintenance perspective.
• Manage the implementation and transition of new products, equipment, and technologies into the production environment.
• Review and approve drawings, routings, instructions, specifications, and related documentation as needed.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve production and maintenance issues in collaboration with Engineering, Production, Quality, and other departments.
• Support efforts to improve quality, productivity, efficiency, equipment uptime, and overall plant performance.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules, including weekday, weekend, and vacation coverage, to minimize overtime and maintain operational continuity.
• Monitor and manage maintenance inventory to control costs while ensuring appropriate parts availability.
• Ensure compliance with the organization’s asset management system and related maintenance processes.
• Assist with interviewing, selecting, training, and developing maintenance personnel.
• Conduct safety inspections, observe work practices, and provide job safety training to promote a safe and healthy work environment.
• Ensure housekeeping, food safety, and plant rules are followed at all times.
• Support safe production practices and help maintain the overall safety and well-being of employees.
• Oversee maintenance of the waste treatment facility, building, and grounds as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Four to five years of experience in manufacturing maintenance, manufacturing engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to use available resources to maximize maintenance team effectiveness.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
