HireLevel is partnering with a long-standing St. Louis manufacturer looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to join their team!
This onsite position located in Jennings, MO provides a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing maintenance operations, supervising a maintenance team, and supporting equipment reliability and facility upkeep.

Compensation: $90,000 - $100,000/year Based on experience, skills, and qualifications
Responsibilities of Maintenance Supervisor:
- Oversee the repair, installation, maintenance, and upkeep of production equipment, machinery, and facility systems
- Lead, supervise, and coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance team, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently
- Schedule, assign, track, and follow up on preventative and corrective maintenance activities
- Serve as a hands-on supervisor by assisting maintenance personnel with troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment breakdowns when needed
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and facility-related issues to minimize downtime
- Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and production efficiency
- Train, coach, and develop maintenance team members while addressing performance management and personnel matters
- Coordinate with production and management teams to prioritize maintenance needs and support operational goals
- Work directly with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to source parts, equipment, and maintenance services
- Manage inventory levels for maintenance parts, tools, and supplies
- Recommend process improvements, equipment upgrades, and capital purchases that support operational efficiency and reliability
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, GMP standards, company policies, and maintenance procedures
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and documentation
- Lead special projects and other assignments as directed by upper management
Requirements of Maintenance Supervisor:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent maintenance leadership experience considered
- Extensive maintenance and equipment knowledge with a strong background in manufacturing environments; food manufacturing experience preferred
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience managing maintenance personnel
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and technical decision-making skills
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs, facility systems, and industrial equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance documentation
- Experience managing vendors, contractors, and maintenance purchasing activities
- Strong communication, team-building, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet business objectives
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, professionalism, attendance, and dependability
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs., stand, walk, bend, and perform physical maintenance activities as needed
- Comfortable working in wet, noisy manufacturing environments while adhering to PPE and GMP requirements
- Must meet requirements of background and drug screening policies
