SUMMARY
Perform routine maintenance inspections and repairs on facilities and related equipment to ensure proper functionality and upkeep of buildings and grounds. Primarily Monday-Friday day shift operations, (5x8 or 4x10) with occasional weekend or off-shift support as needed.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
High school diploma or equivalent required. Relevant work experience in facility maintenance is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES - Relevant experience in most areas preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to remain active for an entire shift, frequently bend, reach above shoulder level, balance, and occasionally squat, crawl, climb, kneel, and push/pull. Frequent lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs. Must communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to use foot pedals and work at heights up to 30 feet. Must work in moderately noisy environments with exposure to outdoor temperatures, dust, solvents, grease, and oil. Must safely operate lift trucks and work in areas with lift truck traffic.
MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to read work orders and prints, perform basic math, understand building structures, and have basic computer skills. Must work well in a team environment. A valid driver's license may be required.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT
Use of electrician tools, meters, hoists, drills, grinders, pipe threaders, pipe wrenches, mechanic tools, lift trucks, ladders, and various hand and power tools. Must wear appropriate PPE, including safety shoes, glasses, ear protection, and respirator, and operate heavy equipment as needed.
