Maintenance Support Worker

Description:

Blessed Sacrament Catholic Parish and School is seeking a part-time, temporary Maintenance Support Worker to assist in the daily upkeep of Blessed Sacrament’s facilities, including the School, Church and Parish buildings. The ideal candidate will handle minor repairs, painting, grounds maintenance, and assist with general custodial tasks to ensure a safe and operational environment for students, staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• MinorRepairs: Perform basic repairs to walls, doors, windows, locks, and furniture.
• Plumbing&Electrical: Repair leaky faucets, unclog drains, and replace light bulbs/tubes.
• Painting&Upkeep: Perform interior/exterior painting and touch-ups.
• GroundsMaintenance: Assist with lawn mowing, trash removal, and general landscaping.
• Setup/Breakdown: Organize chairs, tables, and equipment for events or meetings.
• SafetyChecks: Inspect facilities for hazards and report issues to management.
• CustodialAssistance: Assist with cleaning duties as required.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proven experience as a maintenance worker.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good time management to handle multiple work orders.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching.
• Ability to lift up to 50-100 pounds.
• Comfortable working on ladders and standing for long periods.

This position will be posted until September 1, 2026. Hourly compensation is $19.29/hour.
