Maintenance Technician Pay Rate and Hours:
- $18/hr.
- 1st shift 7:30am- 4pm Monday- Friday
- 2nd shift 4:30pm- 1am Monday- Friday
Maintenance Technician Job Description:
- Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep, troubleshooting, repair, and continuous improvement of equipment and systems in a manufacturing environment.
- This includes mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- The technician plays a key role in ensuring equipment uptime and supporting production goals through preventive and corrective maintenance.
Maintenance Technician Skills:
- Perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, tools, and facility systems.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies.
- Assist in maintaining spare parts inventory and requisition supplies when necessary.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns promptly and provide effective troubleshooting.
- Support facility maintenance including lighting, HVAC, plumbing, and structural repairs.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, motors, conveyors, pumps, and gearboxes.
- Proficient with electrical systems including reading schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends or on-call as needed
Maintenance Technician Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Technical or trade school preferred.
- 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Hands-on experience using manual machine shop tools for fabrication and repair.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work in elevated or confined spaces.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, and use of hands.
- Ability to work in environments with noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
