Job Summary: The Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks related to the upkeep, repair, and improvement of facilities, equipment, and grounds. This role ensures that the building and surrounding areas remain safe, functional, and in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine inspections of buildings, equipment, and systems to identify and resolve issues.
Conduct general repairs, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and HVAC support.
Complete preventive maintenance tasks on equipment and systems to reduce downtime and extend life cycle.
Assist with landscaping, snow removal, and general groundskeeping as required.
Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment.
Ensure work orders are completed efficiently, accurately, and within set timelines.
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
Support facility setup for meetings, events, or special projects as needed.
Report major repair needs or safety concerns to the Maintenance Supervisor or Facilities Manager.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school or technical certifications preferred.
Proven experience in general maintenance, repair, or related field.
Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry systems.
Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical ability to lift, carry, climb, bend, and perform tasks in various environments.
Valid driver’s license (if travel between sites is required).
Work Environment:
This position may require working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
May involve standing for extended periods and performing tasks that require physical exertion.
Occasional evening, weekend, or on-call shifts may be required.
