Maintenance Technician - Day Shift

A Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing industrial manufacturing equipment, machinery, facilities, and energy equipment to keep production operating safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment problems.
• Inspect machinery and identify worn, damaged, or defective components.
• Repair or replace bearings, belts, hoses, motors, pumps, valves, fittings, and other components.
• Work on compressors, rotating equipment, pumps, motors, and manufacturing equipment.
• Use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and shop equipment.
• Assist with installation, relocation, modification, and repair of machinery.
• Perform facility maintenance as required.
• Follow preventive-maintenance schedules and document completed work.
• Maintain and troubleshoot compressed-air systems and other plant utilities.
• Perform basic electrical maintenance and troubleshooting where qualified.
• Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and other safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area using 5S principles.
• Work with production, fabrication, engineering, and other maintenance personnel to minimize equipment downtime.
• Follow quality, safety, environmental, and company procedures.
• Experience with hand tools, basic machinery, equipment/facility upkeep, filters, air hoses, electrical cords up to 110 V, safety procedures, manufacturing experience, and 5S.

Skills/Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or technical/vocational training.
• Industrial maintenance or mechanical experience.
• Ability to read equipment manuals, drawings, and basic schematics.
• Mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance.
• Electrical troubleshooting experience is beneficial.
• Hydraulic and pneumatic experience is beneficial.
• Welding/fabrication experience is beneficial.
• Forklift, crane, rigging, or other industrial-equipment experience is beneficial.
• Strong safety awareness, including LOTO.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
