Maintenance Tech - Engineering - Full-Time

Job Summary:

Performs day-to-day facility maintenance repairs/installation and preventive maintenance across system. The maintenance tech positional serves as the skilled labor backbone of the team in support of the department, completing work orders efficiently while prioritizing safety and minimizing disruption in patient care areas. May include mentoring associate tech members.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

• Performs intermediate-level maintenance and repair of building systems, equipment, and infrastructure in a healthcare setting.
• Troubleshoot and repair general facility issues including minor electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and building systems.
• Respond to work orders and emergencies in a timely manner.
• Assist with installation of new equipment and fixtures.
• Maintain safe and clean work environments in compliance with hospital policies.
• Collaborate with other trades to complete multi-discipline projects.
• Document maintenance activities for compliance purposes.
• Promotes proper maintenance and documented in compliance with DNV standards
• Completes all activities in compliance with codes and regulatory standards
• All other mechanical duties as assigned.

Education:

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred:

• Graduate of Facility Maintenance Program from trade school

Experience:

Required:

• 3 years of experience in a healthcare maintenance or similar environment.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

• 3 years of healthcare experience

• Valid Driver's License

Preferred:

• Trade licensure or certification
