Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in facilities maintenance, ensuring that all systems and equipment are functioning optimally. This role involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and repair activities to maintain a safe and efficient environment.
Duties
- Conduct regular inspections of building systems and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and other mechanical systems.
- Utilize schematics and logic controllers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Oversee residential painting projects as needed, ensuring high-quality finishes.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs completed and materials used.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance schedules without disrupting operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance activities.
- Dual role of security while on duty.
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in facilities maintenance.
- Proficiency in electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and general repair techniques.
- Familiarity with schematics and logic controllers for troubleshooting purposes.
- Experience in residential painting is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and other departments.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Boiler license required or obtained within 6 months of hire.
