    Description

    • LOCATION: Downtown Austin (near Republic Square)
    • SCHEDULE: Full-Time | Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. | Availability for on-call emergencies.

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    We are seeking a dependable and proactive Maintenance Technician to help maintain the safety, appearance, and day-to-day operations of a luxury residential community.

    In this role, you'll perform preventative maintenance, complete general repairs, support building operations, and help create an exceptional living experience for residents. If you enjoy solving problems, hands-on work, and taking pride in maintaining high-quality properties, we'd love to hear from you.

    What You'll Do

    • Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections of building systems and common areas.
    • Complete basic repairs including drywall, painting, light plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and HVAC filter replacements.
    • Maintain the appearance, cleanliness, and functionality of lobbies, hallways, amenities, and shared spaces.
    • Respond to maintenance requests and identify potential issues before they become larger problems.
    • Coordinate with vendors and contractors, including providing building access and monitoring completed work.
    • Support move-ins, move-outs, and freight elevator operations as needed.
    • Assist with general property upkeep, package handling, and operational support during busy periods.
    • Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies when required.
    • Maintain a safe work environment while following company policies and safety procedures.

    Requirements

    What You Need to Succeed

    • 1–3 years of maintenance experience in residential, commercial, hospitality, or property management environments.
    • Working knowledge of basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, and carpentry repairs.
    • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
    • Excellent customer service and communication skills with a professional, resident-focused approach.
    • Experience working with vendors and contractors is a plus.
    • EPA Certification is preferred or willingness to obtain.
    • High school diploma or GED required.
    • Valid driver's license may be required depending on the property.
