The Maintenance Tech II performs work in connection with the operation, maintenance, and security of building, grounds, and facilities in order to ensure efficient plant operation.
A day in the life might include:
- Performing routine maintenance, preventive maintenance, and timely repairs for resident units and community spaces, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, flooring, and roofing tasks.
- Responding promptly to work orders and maintenance requests while completing projects within established timelines, budgets, and priorities.
- Operating and maintaining a variety of maintenance equipment, tools, and company vehicles; ensure tools, supplies, and work areas remain safe, clean, and organized.
- Assisting with unit refurbishments, furniture assembly/moves, installations, and general upkeep such as HVAC filter changes, lighting repairs, and fixture replacements.
- Providing excellent customer service and communicate effectively with residents, team members, contractors, and vendors while following all safety policies and regulatory requirements.
- May be on call in case of an emergency
To be successful in the role, you would have:
- 1-2 years of experience in a related field of building maintenance or construction, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
- Certification, license or equivalent as required under state and/or local regulation to operate or repair certain equipment in a technical field such as HVAC, building trades or building utilities program preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
Full-time. Monday to Friday. 11AM to 7PM.
Pay Range $23-25.50, depending on experience.
