Requirements & Skills:
Currently holds or has the ability to get a Pipefitter, Machine Repair, or Millwright Journeyperson's card by:
having served a bona fide apprenticeship and present certificate or
had 8 years practical experience at the trade and can establish satisfactory proof by means of a notarized affidavit or
present a UAW Journeyperson's card
Ability to weld, fabricate, run torches
Diagnose and repair mechanical equipment and machinery.
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot mechanical systems.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and engineering drawings.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance.
Primary Duties Include:
Ability to make repairs on conveyor’s, production equipment
complete preventive maintenance work such as inspecting and replacing belts, greasing bearings, tightening chains
loading and unloading of maintenance material and equipment
Perform plumbing and piping repairs
perform maintenance on all piping systems and valves (compressed air, natural gas, domestic water, wastewater, process fluids, steam)
Complete various repairs including toilets, sinks, and drains
Maintain and repair machinery, pumps, valves, gearboxes, cylinders, torque tools riveters, and related equipment
changing hydraulic and gear oil
Keep production running with minimal downtime
