Ensuring Chart's Success…

Chart Energy & Chemicals facility specializes in cold box assembly and fabrication, pressure vessels and other cryogenic equipment as used for the air separation and hydrocarbon industries. The end users of this equipment include all the major LNG, petrochemical and air separation engineering on a worldwide basis. The facility is located in the Port of Iberia.

The starting rate for this role is $28.50.

What Will You Do?

  • Trouble shoot, diagnose malfunctions, and perform advanced repairs of all equipment, welding equipment, fabrication machinery, building and grounds while keeping the facility in compliance with government and environmental regulations
  • Assist with preventative maintenance program for all capital equipment
  • Assist with records of planned and actual service dates and materials used
  • Generate requisitions for all needed materials or equipment pertaining to building and maintenance
  • Assist with inspection records of all fabrication tools issued to shop personnel , safety harness equipment, lifting equipment, welding equipment, fabrication machinery, building and grounds
  • Performs fire evacuation, disaster response plan, and plant shut down operations
  • Be familiar with current procedures for Hazardous waste materials handling and storage
  • Must be able to pass hazardous material handling safety training per DOT HM 126 F
  • Must be able to pass fall protection equipment inspection safety training per NFPA 70 E
  • Maintain current state electrical license
  • Performs wiring of buildings or equipment to conform to commercial electrical codes
  • Direct and inspect electrical work performed by other maintenance technicians
  • Additional duties as assigned

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

  • Required to work at elevated heights up to 75ft
  • This position is classified as safety sensitive. Due to the use of heavy machinery, power tools, and/or exposure to potentially hazardous conditions, the role requires heightened awareness and adherence to all safety protocols. Employees must be able to perform duties in a manner that ensures their own safety and the safety of others in the workplace

Your Experience Should Be...

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • State Electrical License
  • Five years' work experience with troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
  • Must have industrial experience in a fabrication environment
  • Education may be substituted by extended experience but must maintain a current electrical license
