Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Maintenance Technicians for a food manufacturing company in St. Peter, MN. In this role, you’ll help keep production running smoothly by maintaining and repairing equipment while supporting a safe, high-quality food production environment. Read below for more information!What You’ll Do as a Maintenance Technician:
- Perform routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance on production and packaging equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to minimize downtime
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and maintenance requests on the production floor
- Assist with installation, setup, and startup of new machinery
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, parts usage, and repair records
- Support plant utilities including HVAC, compressed air, and water systems
- Ensure all work meets safety, food safety, and quality standards
What You Need to Bring to the Maintenance Technician Role:
- High school diploma or GED required
- At least 2 years of industrial maintenance experience (food or manufacturing preferred)
- Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a rotating 3–4 day schedule
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work (standing, bending, climbing)
- Basic computer skills for maintenance tracking and reporting
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain within 14 days
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English (Spanish is a plus)
- Experience with GMPs, food safety, and OSHA standards preferred
