Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Maintenance Technicians for a food manufacturing company in St. Peter, MN. In this role, you’ll help keep production running smoothly by maintaining and repairing equipment while supporting a safe, high-quality food production environment. If you enjoy hands-on troubleshooting, working in a fast-paced setting, and taking ownership of equipment performance, this job could be a great fit. Read below for more information!What You’ll Do as a Maintenance Technician:
  • Perform routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance on production and packaging equipment
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to minimize downtime
  • Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and maintenance requests on the production floor
  • Assist with installation, setup, and startup of new machinery
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, parts usage, and repair records
  • Support plant utilities including HVAC, compressed air, and water systems
  • Ensure all work meets safety, food safety, and quality standards
What You Need to Bring to the Maintenance Technician Role:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • At least 2 years of industrial maintenance experience (food or manufacturing preferred)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a rotating 3–4 day schedule
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work (standing, bending, climbing)
  • Basic computer skills for maintenance tracking and reporting
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain within 14 days
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English (Spanish is a plus)
  • Experience with GMPs, food safety, and OSHA standards preferred
