 Maintenance Technician OverviewPenmac Staffing is hiring a Maintenance Technician to support production operations in a manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations.The Maintenance Technician will work hands-on with mechanical and electrical systems and play a key role in minimizing downtime through preventative and predictive maintenance.Maintenance Technician Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Diagnose equipment failures and perform root cause analysis
• Repair or replace motors, bearings, pumps, gearboxes, and conveyor systems
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Assist with basic PLC troubleshooting and automation support
• Support Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and continuous improvement efforts
• Complete work orders and document repairs accurately
• Follow all safety policies, including lockout/tagout procedures
• Assist with facility maintenance such as lighting, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems
• Participate in equipment installations, upgrades, and special projects

Requirements for the Maintenance Technician

• 2+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience preferred
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, and industrial equipment
• Technical training in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, or Mechatronics preferred
• Basic PLC troubleshooting experience preferred
• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and reach throughout the shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable working around noise, dust, moving machinery, heights, and varying temperatures
