Maintenance Technician – Multifamily Property Management

Join Our Team as a Multifamily Maintenance Technician!

Are you a skilled maintenance professional who takes pride in keeping communities safe, functional, and attractive? We're looking for a dependable and motivated Maintenance Technician to support our multifamily apartment communities.

What You'll Do

As a Maintenance Technician, you'll play a vital role in maintaining apartment homes and community facilities while providing exceptional service to our residents.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Complete service requests and work orders in a timely manner
  • Perform preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, and carpentry issues
  • Prepare vacant apartments for new residents (turns/make-readies)
  • Maintain community grounds, amenities, and common areas
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency maintenance needs
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company standards

Qualifications

  • Previous apartment maintenance, facilities maintenance, or related experience preferred
  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and general repairs
  • Ability to diagnose and solve maintenance issues independently
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • EPA Certification and HVAC experience are a plus
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Current proof of automobile insurance required

Physical & Travel Requirements

This is an active, hands-on position that supports four multifamily communities and requires regular travel between properties throughout the workday.

Candidates must be able to:

  • Walk extensively throughout apartment communities each day
  • Frequently climb stairs while carrying tools, equipment, and supplies
  • Stand, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and work in various positions for extended periods
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Access maintenance areas including attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and utility rooms
  • Travel between four separate communities as needed to complete work orders, inspections, and maintenance projects
