This maintenance tech is responsible for assisting in preventive maintenance, reporting documentation of the hospital in order to provide a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors. There is no remote option for this position.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of one year of experience in building mechanical equipment.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Some college education preferred
Ability to read, write and follow safety directions as required.
Painting and minor maintenance work experience preferred.
Proficient in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Makes minor mechanical, electrical and plumbing and painting repairs as requested
Maintenance and beautification of facility and grounds.
Conducts scheduled inspections and maintenance throughout the facility.
Maintains and tests the emergency power system to ensure availability of power to all entrances, exits, fire detection alarms and extinguishing equipment, and life support systems.
Maintains all essential equipment (e.g., boiler room equipment, nursing unit/medication, etc.) in a safe operating condition
Must be able to work day shift (8:00A – 5:00P), weekends, and on-call, as scheduled.
Remains flexible for other duties and special projects assigned.

The employee must be able to lift and/or carry over 20 pounds on a regular basis and be able to push/pull over 25 pounds on a regular basis.
The employee must be able to stand and/or walk at least 5 hours per day.
