JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for ensuring production and facility equipment is working at all times. He/she will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all equipment. He/she will follow preventive maintenance schedules along with existing protocol, including building maintenance.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Competencies
Performs record keeping, data entry, housekeeping, and follows safety regulations.
General knowledge required in mechanics, gears, bearings, pulleys, belts, pneumatics, and electric drives.
Effectively perform various duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facilitys equipment.
Maintain inventory of repair parts and supplies.
Conducts machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance service.
Provides emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and conducts scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
Performs mechanic skills, including but not limited to:
• Mechanical • Electrical • Pneumatic • Troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines
Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Troubleshoots and diagnoses mechanical, electrical, or plumbing issues, replace or repair parts, test, and make necessary adjustments.
Will use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
Ability to comply with all safety regulations and maintains a clean and orderly work area.
Must possess the ability to learn and comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines and practices.
