Description
HTI is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician (1st or 2nd shift) for a leading manufacturing operation in Kings Mountain, NC. In this role, you will support safe and continuous production by performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on plant equipment, automation systems, tools, and facility infrastructure. This position plays a critical role in reducing downtime, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring production and quality goals are met. Experience with PLCs, robotics, industrial automation, and troubleshooting production equipment is highly preferred. This position is Direct Hire on 1st or 2nd shift. The pay range is $34 - $36/hr depending on experience.

What You Need:
High School Diploma or GED
General understanding of industrial safety practices
Experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Ability to troubleshoot industrial automation systems, including PLCs, sensors, interlocks, and control components
Experience using diagnostic tools, power tools, and hand tools
Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and maintenance manuals
Basic computer skills, including CMMS experience
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Effective communication skills and ability to work within a team environment
Preferred: Technical certification in Industrial Maintenance, HVAC, Electrical Systems, or related field
Preferred: Advanced training in industrial automation, PLC troubleshooting, welding, or robotics
Preferred: OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
What Your Role Will Look Like: The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for supporting safe and continuous production through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This individual will help minimize downtime, improve operational efficiency, and ensure equipment reliability while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and quality.
Perform mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repairs on production equipment
Conduct routine preventive maintenance activities on equipment, fixtures, and facility systems
Troubleshoot and repair industrial automation systems, including PLCs, sensors, field wiring, and control components
Collaborate with Quality Assurance to verify weld quality and make necessary equipment adjustments
Install and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic piping systems
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
Operate forklifts and material handling equipment as needed during maintenance activities
Utilize precision measurement and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve equipment issues
Ensure proper handling and disposal of hazardous waste materials
Maintain a clean, safe, and team-oriented work environment
Support production quality and performance goals by reducing downtime and improving equipment reliability
Additional duties as needed and assigned
