    Job Description:

    Mars Wrigley- Maintenance Technician - Elizabethtown, PA

    • Pay: Based on experience starting at $36.52+/ hour
    • This site manufactures DOVE Chocolate

    Required Shift:

    1st Shift: Monday- Friday 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (flexible pending business needs)

    Description of Role:

    The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment in a fast paced, high production environment. Key responsibilities may include troubleshooting and servicing advanced pneumatic systems, basic hydraulic systems, AC/DC electrical systems, welding, fabrication, automation (PLC and instrumentation), machining, and mechanical systems across all process and packing equipment.

    What are we looking for?

    Minimum Requirements

    • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
    • 2+ years’ work experience related to industrial maintenance
    • Experience in Welding, Advanced Machinist Skills and/or fabrication
    • Possess a fundamental understanding of Electrical systems and troubleshooting, Hydraulic, Pneumatic Schematics and/or Mechanical Drawings
    • Willingness to develop required technical skills
    • Proficient with computers software’s included MS Office

    Preferred Qualifications: 

    • Associate degree in a technical discipline, preferably in Industrial Maintenance/Technology
    • Technical/Trade Certification in: Welding, Advanced Machinist Skills, fabrication and blueprint interpretation
    • Possess an advanced understanding of AC/DC Electrical (up to 480VAC 3 Phase), Hydraulic and Pneumatic Schematics and Mechanical Drawings in order to solve problems
    • Possess PLC/Instrumentation troubleshooting skills

    Physical Requirements:

    • Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs.) and frequent pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs.).
    • Frequent handling/gripping/bending/twisting/stooping.
    • Ability to work at elevated heights off a ladder or platform, climb stairs, leaning over equipment.
    • Ability to stand and / or work on feet for extended periods (minimum eight hours in one shift).
    • Able to work in confined spaces
    • Ability to read, write and understand English

    What will be your key responsibilities?

    • Troubleshooting, repairing and overhauling equipment within close tolerances.
    • Advanced Pneumatic, Basic Hydraulic, AC/DC Electrical Systems, Automation (PLC and Instrumentation), Automation, Machining, and Mechanical Systems on all Process and Packaging Equipment (willing to train)
    • Perform routine electrical and mechanical problem-solving on process & packaging equipment.
    • Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM's) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) on Process & Packaging Equipment
    • Support Operations in equipment setup, changeover and training of operators in Autonomous Maintenance (AM) activities
    • Accurately document Work Orders (WO) using Computerized Maintenance Management System (SAP-PPM Plant Maintenance)  
    • Active Engagement in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Theory and Concepts through participation in Pillar Teams, training fellow Technicians/Operators in Autonomous Maintenance (AM) activities to include conducting Breakdown Analysis (BDA’s)
    • Understand and adhere to Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) Procedures, Confined Space Procedures and all other Plant Safety/Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements related to supporting machinery uptime
    • Perform any adhoc requests as assigned
