The Maintenance Technician 2 is responsible for assisting in all general facility maintenance and involved in machinery maintenance.

Responsibilities:

  • Have general knowledge of facility plumbing and pipe installation.
  • Have knowledge in basic repair of motor, pumps and compressors etc.
  • Ability to operate and repair general manufacturing machines including CNC machines.
  • Participates in the general repairs for all machinery throughout the facilities and grounds.
  • Lead team members conducting minor and major Preventive Maintenance and Projects as assigned.
  • Ability to trouble shoot complex problems on sophisticated machine tools, generators, air compressors and other types of equipment.
  • Assists in responsibility for physical movement of material throughout plant.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC and Chilled Water systems.
  • Assist in set-up of machines.
  • Understands pneumatics and electrical controls for machinery to include VFD's and electronic circuits. Maintains knowledge and ability to work with manual machine repair.
  • Ability to operate and repair basic small machines.
  • Assist in leadership roles in the absence of the Facility Manage.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred: Trade schools or Vocational Tech training course
  • Minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing environment
  • Must have strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize assignments
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret simple flowcharts and schematics documents.
  • Ability to respond effectively to emergency repairs as needed.
  • Must be able to follow written procedures and instructions to repair and adjust equipment.
  • Utilize the existing ERP/CMMS integrated modules to maintain data integrity material inventory.
  • Use ERP/CMMS to complete preventive maintenance documentation as required.
