Title: Maintenance Technician (Chemical Manufacturing)
Location: West Chicago, IL
Hire Type: Direct Hire
Shifts available
  • 2nd Shift (3:00pm – 11:00pm)
  • 3rd Shift (10:00pm to 6:30am)
Salary: $30-$39/hour + Shift Differential

In this role, you'll play a critical role in keeping production equipment operating safely and efficiently. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on Maintenance Technician looking to grow their career with a stable, industry-leading manufacturer that invests in its employees.

Job Duties:
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control systems.
  • Maintain and repair industrial mixers, blenders, packaging equipment, robotic systems, pumps, valves, and pressure vessels.
  • Read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics.
  • Install new equipment and modify existing machinery as needed.
  • Analyze equipment performance and recommend reliability improvements.
  • Order repair parts and work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to prioritize repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, Process Safety Management (PSM), and environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read electrical and pneumatic schematics.
  • Working knowledge of PLC hardware and Ladder Logic troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with NEC and NFPA 70E electrical safety standards.
  • Experience installing and modifying manufacturing equipment.
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) is a plus.
