Maintenance Technician - Akron, OH - JOB 26-00421
Pay Rate: $22.00 - $23.00/HR
Full-Time Permanent Position with Benefits
2nd Shift: Monday - Friday 2:30PM - 11PM
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing daily preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure the uninterrupted operation of all industrial machinery, automated equipment, and facility building systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Inspect and troubleshoot mechanical issues to ensure the safe, continuous operation of all machinery.
- Perform routine PM schedules on conveyors, automated material handling equipment, and mechanical systems.
- Execute and log assigned tasks in a timely manner utilizing the facility's CMMS / work order system.
- Maintain the functionality and serviceability of restrooms, break rooms, and communal areas.
- Preserve the interior and exterior appearance of the property, including winter snow and ice management at building entrances.
- Work productively both independently and alongside team members depending on operational needs.
Requirements & Qualifications:- High School Diploma, GED, or Technical Vocational School training.
- Proven experience troubleshooting conveyors or industrial material handling equipment.
- Familiarity with work order software (CMMS) is highly preferred.
- Ability to work outdoors briefly for seasonal property maintenance.
