Maintenance Technician 2nd Shift

HiFyve is partnering with an automotive manufacturer to hire Maintenance Technicians for their manufacturing facility in Columbus, Nebraska. This is a hands-on opportunity supporting highly automated production equipment in a modern manufacturing environment with excellent earning potential and long-term career growth.

Position Details

Location: Columbus, NE

Shift: 2nd Shift

• Monday through Friday
• 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Rotating on-call schedule every 4th weekend
• Saturday hours paid at overtime
• Sunday hours paid at double time

Pay:

• $20–$41/hour (depending on experience)

Job Summary

Responsible for maintaining and repairing production equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation in an automotive manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities on production equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic diagrams.
• Complete and properly close maintenance work orders in the required system.
• Identify equipment failures and perform root-cause troubleshooting.
• Support production by responding promptly to equipment breakdowns and maintenance requests.
• Comply with all HSE requirements, safety procedures, and required certifications, including DC-3.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and equipment documentation.
• Properly use, care for, and control company-provided tools, equipment, parts, and resources.
• Provide a service-oriented attitude when supporting Production and other departments.
• Follow LOTO and all applicable safety procedures when performing maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• Technical degree/certification in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Maintenance, or related field preferred.
• Experience in automotive or manufacturing environments preferred.
• Knowledge of:
• Mechanical systems
• Electrical systems
• Hydraulics
• Pneumatics
• Industrial equipment troubleshooting
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Service-oriented attitude and ability to work effectively with production teams.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and support different shifts.
