Maintenance Technician - $31.70/hr!

Integrity Trade Services is hiring a Maintenance Technician for our packaging manufacturing client to start immediately at $31.70/hr! Receive comprehensive benefits through our client upon hire!
Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled, emergency, corrective, minor, and preventive maintenance on facility equipment, machinery, and building systems.
- Read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics as needed.
- Use precision measuring tools and electronic test equipment to troubleshoot and repair machinery.
- Install and connect power-supply wiring to machinery and equipment, including interconnecting cables and wiring between systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical components and equipment—including transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures—and replace defective wires, cables, and related parts.
- Diagnose, repair, or replace malfunctioning electronic components, including printed circuit boards.
- Monitor mechanical equipment during operation and identify potential issues by observing performance and listening for unusual sounds.
- Disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment requiring maintenance or corrective action.
- Inspect parts for defects, irregularities, and imperfections by examining their shape and surface texture.
- Provide maintenance support and assistance to other team members with their assigned machinery as needed.
- Serve as a point of contact with vendors when required.
- Set up machinery, make required adjustments, and monitor operation to ensure equipment runs efficiently and effectively.
Location: University Park, IL
Schedule/Shift Details: 2nd Shift, 2:30PM-11PM, Monday-Friday
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 2+ years of industrial maintenance, electrical maintenance, electromechanical maintenance, or manufacturing equipment repair experience.
- Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, install, and maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and equipment schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Working knowledge of motors, transformers, power supplies, control panels, wiring, lighting systems, sensors, relays, PLC-controlled equipment, and basic electronic components.
- Experience performing preventative, scheduled, corrective, and emergency maintenance on production machinery and facility/building equipment.
- Experience disassembling, repairing, replacing, and reassembling machine components, including motors, bearings, belts, chains, gears, shafts, and electrical components.
- Understanding of workplace safety practices, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), machine guarding, PPE requirements, electrical safety, and safe material-handling procedures.
- Ability to work independently while also supporting machine operators, production personnel, supervisors, outside contractors, and equipment vendors.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, including the ability to explain equipment issues, document repairs, coordinate with vendors, and prioritize maintenance needs.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and adapt to changing production and maintenance priorities.
