Job Title: Maintenance Technician | 2nd shift
Location: Franklin Park, IL
Hire Type: Direct Hire, Onsite
Shift: 2nd shift | 3:00pm - 12:00pm
Target Pay Rate: $34.00 - $37.00/hour (includes shift differential) + OT

Must-Have Skills:
  • Industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting and schematic reading

  • Ability to work in cold production environments
Job Summary:
Seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to support equipment reliability and facility maintenance within a food manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment and facility systems while ensuring compliance with food safety and workplace safety standards.

Job Duties:
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial processing and packaging equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and vacuum systems
  • Conduct basic electrical troubleshooting and read electrical schematics
  • Assist with installation of production and packaging equipment
  • Perform welding and fabrication on stainless and carbon steel components
  • Maintain facility equipment, buildings, and grounds as needed
  • Utilize hand tools and machine shop equipment for repairs and modifications
  • Follow GMP, OSHA, EPA, and food safety regulations at all times
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and support continuous improvement efforts
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience preferred
  • Food or meat manufacturing experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with FSIS/USDA regulations preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read written instructions, diagrams, and maintenance schedules
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Comfortable working in cold, loud manufacturing environments
