    Job Summary

    Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, this 2nd shift Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the operation, maintenance, and repair of manufacturing and packaging equipment, as well as general facility upkeep. This role requires working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled systems, along with the ability to perform basic building repairs and work independently.

    The position supports daily maintenance operations, including preventive maintenance tracking, parts inventory management, and documentation using Microsoft Windows-based systems. This individual may also assist in guiding other maintenance technicians by supporting daily work assignments, monitoring ongoing projects, and communicating maintenance activities and priorities to plant leadership.

    Principal Responsibilities

    • Build, repair, install, and maintain high-speed packaging equipment, conveyor systems, and facility infrastructure
    • Perform mechanical and electrical repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance to ensure reliable production operations
    • Install new machinery, assist with capital equipment installations, and support electrical wiring systems in a safe and timely manner
    • Rebuild, fabricate, and replace parts as needed to maintain equipment performance
    • Perform maintenance and repairs on pumps, gears, fans, compressors, and related systems
    • Maintain building and facility systems, including utilities, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, and masonry
    • Monitor equipment performance and safety standards, completing scheduled inspections and identifying potential risks
    • Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with company safety standards, GMP requirements, and 6S practices
    • Monitor and coordinate on-site repair contractors to ensure quality and timely completion of work
    • Collaborate with Production Supervisors and team members to troubleshoot issues, communicate risks, and identify process improvements
    • Assist maintenance team members and support plant maintenance activities as needed
    • Participate in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste
    • Perform other duties as assigned
