Working for our team, you can truly make a difference.We are currently looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team.  The successful candidate meets safety, production, sustainability, and quality standards.  The Maintenance Technician interacts with other departments to achieve the company's core strategies and moves products to accommodate production.Why work at MCC:

Responsibilities:

Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production. Performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service in a multi-shift environmentPerforms duties including, but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of machinesSupports an optimized production environment by applying the principles of Lean Manufacturing and 5SResponsible for maintaining and performing repairs to the facilityFort Dearborn has been around for almost 100 years, and we pride ourselves on our high level of excellence. Qualifications

One or more years of demonstrated experience in the electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic applicationsThe ability to read electrical schematics and a vocational maintenance training certificate are preferredRequires basic knowledge of computers and operating systemsMust have the ability to multitask and to identify and execute process improvements as neededRequires strong problem-solving skills to assess product output relative to specificationsRequires physical ability to climb stairs, bend, sit, stand, walk, reach with arms, push, pull, and use hands and fingers to feel and handle material for extended time framesMust have the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds repeatedly and regularlyIncludes the ability to stoop, squat, crawl, and kneel as neededThis position requires frequent walking.
