Overview

Our client is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to ensure the efficient operation of industrial production equipment and building infrastructure. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and executing repairs to maintain optimal facility conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance to prevent equipment breakdowns and maintain infrastructure integrity.
  • Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose issues and perform repairs on production equipment and infrastructure systems.
  • Root-Cause Analysis: Analyze machine failures and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, including repairs and modifications.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate equipment status and maintenance needs to team members and other departments.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in initiatives to enhance process efficiency and equipment performance.
  • Collaboration: Work with internal departments and external vendors to ensure efficient maintenance operations.
  • Training: Engage in ongoing training to enhance technical skills and stay updated on industry trends.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industrial maintenance systems and repair processes.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems, including pumps, motors, pneumatic/hydraulic components, and more.
  • Familiarity with electrical control components and basic plumbing systems; proficiency in PLC-controlled systems is preferred.
  • Ability to operate forklifts/scissor lifts, climb ladders, and handle up to 50 lbs.

Advanced Role Responsibilities

Maintenance Technician II

  • Ability to perform tasks on a wide variety, and more complex production equipment independently or with minimal supervision
  • Collaborate with peers for knowledge sharing and skill development opportunities, taking on more complex troubleshooting responsibilities.
  • Participate in rotating on-call duties when assigned.
  • Works under the direction of senior personnel.

  • Performs basic maintenance tasks independently.

  • Possesses a moderate understanding of general mechanical principles and repair techniques.

  • Works with other higher-level technicians on machine troubleshooting and repairs.

  • Developing skills to perform some troubleshooting tasks independently.

Maintenance Technician III (All Previous Requirements Plus):
  • Serves as a technical expert capable of resolving complex issues independently while providing leadership within the department.
  • Evaluate complex maintenance issues independently; deploy appropriate resources internally or externally for resolution.
  • Lead efforts to troubleshoot unfamiliar or new equipment effectively, providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians.
  • Represent the company when working with external vendors or contractors to resolve equipment and facility-related issues.
