We are searching for an Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team! In this position, you will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment installations to keep sawmill operations running safely and efficiently. This is a safety-sensitive position requiring strict compliance with all company safety policies.
Essential Duties
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on sawmill equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems.
- Install, align, replace, and maintain machinery and components including bearings, chains, belts, pumps, cylinders, valves, and hoses.
- Perform basic stick welding, oxy-acetylene torch cutting, and conveyor belt splicing.
- Read and interpret maintenance manuals, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Maintain tools and equipment while following all safety procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Electrical Maintenance and Sawmill experience is strongly preferred.
- Three (3) years of industrial maintenance experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial troubleshooting.
- Ability to work any shift, including overtime and weekends.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs., climb ladders and catwalks, work at heights, and perform physically demanding tasks. Work is performed in a sawmill environment with exposure to moving machinery, dust, noise, vibration, weather, and other industrial conditions. Required PPE must be worn, and employees must be able to safely perform all essential job functions.
